EVALUATION OF OILSEED RADISH ( Raphanus sativus L. var. oleiformis Pers.) OIL AS A POTENTIAL COMPONENT OF BIOFUELS

چکیده

The growing interest in alternative fuels based on plant oils has led to the search for new species. Given this, during 2015–2020, oil from 12 varieties of oilseed radish was studied using standard research protocols. average content dominant fatty acids was: [cis-9] oleic (C 18:1) 33.95% (Cv = 14.2%), [cis-9,12] linoleic 18:2) 16.20% 20.8%), [cis-13] erucic 22:1) 15.18% 17.9%), [cis-9, 12, 15] α-linolenic 18:3) 13.33% 18.5%) and palmitic 16:0) 5.42% 18.5%), with a monounsaturated acid 59.69% ratio polyunsaturated/monounsaturated 0.508. were ranked order increasing suitability as component biofuels: ‘Zhuravka’ < ‘Raiduha’ ‘Lybid’ ‘Olga’ ‘Iveya’ ‘Ramonta’ ‘Alpha’ ‘Tambovchanka’ ‘Fakel’ ‘Snizhana’ ‘Sabina’ ‘Nika’. technological variety confirmed analysis its physicochemical parameters when subjected polymerization (at 280 °C) oxypolymerization 120 150 °C). Under these conditions basic varied within limits that determine thermodynamic combustion processes systems controlled pressure temperature.

Alternaria brassicae and A. brassicicola are the major leaf pathogens on Brassicaceae throughout the world. Here we report a spatio-temporal survey of naturally occurring isolates of these fungi in the Brazilian neotropics. Both fungi were able to induce similar symptoms in common hosts. The fungus A. brassicicola was more frequently isolated (187/322), being prevalent on the Brassica oleracea ...

Molecular markers of inbred radish (Raphanus sativus var. Radicola Pers.) lines.

An approach which could be used for quick searches for RAPD markers is described for groups of radish lines with certain morphological traits. The lines are characterized by various morpho-physiological abnormalities, including tumor formation (lines 12, 19, and 21) and non-terminal development of the flower meristem as a variant of tumor growth (line 6). We found four markers which differentia...

Distinct Phylogeographic Structures of Wild Radish (Raphanus sativus L. var. raphanistroides Makino) in Japan

Coastal plants with simple linear distribution ranges along coastlines provide a suitable system for improving our understanding of patterns of intra-specific distributional history and genetic variation. Due to the combination of high seed longevity and high dispersibility of seeds via seawater, we hypothesized that wild radish would poorly represent phylogeographic structure at the local scal...

Draft Sequences of the Radish (Raphanus sativus L.) Genome

Radish (Raphanus sativus L., n = 9) is one of the major vegetables in Asia. Since the genomes of Brassica and related species including radish underwent genome rearrangement, it is quite difficult to perform functional analysis based on the reported genomic sequence of Brassica rapa. Therefore, we performed genome sequencing of radish. Short reads of genomic sequences of 191.1 Gb were obtained ...

Radish (Raphanus sativus) and Diabetes

For more than three decades, various in vitro and in vivo studies have linked radishes with diabetes, though this link has not been discussed. This review systematically addresses and summarizes the effect of radishes on diabetes. We searched the Web of Science, PubMed, and EMBASE databases for English language articles from June 1987 through May 2017 using the key words "radish" and "diabetes,...
